Microsoft is known to aggressively develop apps for the Android platform. It has just announced a brand new Outlook watch face for the Android Wear platform. Instead of releasing just another app for email and calendar, Microsoft has made the Outlook app into a watch face which gives you the latest updates on your schedules, appointments, your mails and much more at a glance.
  • Outlook for Android Wear will show you what is coming up in the next 12 hours which is overlaid on top of your watch face. The colours on the dial will match the colours of your calendars added to Outlook.

  • “Details of your next event are front and center, showing you how much time is left until your next meeting and where you have to be. You also have information on how many new emails you have received since you last looked at your phone,” says the Microsoft blog.

  • You can even personalise the watch face by adding your preferred background colour and accent colours. Outlook also lets you interact with notifications and take actions on the wrist itself. You can archive, schedule, flag and delete emails just like the Outlook app. You also have the ability to RSVP if you get mails inviting you to some event.

  • Microsoft is also accepting suggestions to improve the Outlook app. In case you have some ideas, you need to head to Settings > Help & Feedback > Suggest a Feature.
